ASTROLOGY AS SELF-STUDY

Astrology can be a valuable self-reflection tool and can be super regulating in chaotic times. There’s a life cycle, pattern, beginning/ending to every kind of experience and energy. It’s comforting to notice the different patterns and studying the reoccurring themes can give you an opportunity to structure your self-reflection, invite more patience, and more deeply trust the timing of your life. I typically weave tidbits about the “astrological weather” in every class. Additionally, I host monthly in-person and livestream Moon Events to deep dive into each astrological season.

The “Big Three”

Your Natal Chart, put most simply, is what the sky looked like the moment you took your first breath. There are many nuances of “getting your chart read” where astrologers will analyze how the current planetary positions (transits) interact with the planets in your birth chart. But, you can also focus solely on your Natal Chart to glean insights about your personality, preferences, and the way you like to process information.

The most common starting place is understanding your birth chart is to explore your “Big Three.” This includes your Sun, Moon, & Rising sign. In other words, which zodiac sign of slice of which shows where the Sun and Moon were in the sky the moment you took your first breath.

  • SUN SIGN: Gives us clues about our talents and gifts

  • MOON SIGN: Points to what makes us feel safe enough to shine

  • RISING SIGN: Orients our energy management throughout the year

In many ways, Astrology is like the “Myers Briggs of the Sky.” Just like someone might break down their personal learning styles or work preferences, you can use your “Big Three” like a tool to better understand yourself and others (so everyone’s operating from their gifts).

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

- Albert Einstein

One of my favorite things to do is support working teams to use their astrology to better understand each other’s talents and what conditions allows folks to feel safe enough to fully express their gifts. I’ve worked with school teams, business owners, and parenting teams to uncover “the astrology of why they’re awesome.” Message me via this form or email me at eb.heartwork@gmail.com you’re interested in a group session.
